you are right about losing talent and coaches in the revenue sports. If I’ m a baseball player at usc or ucla I am looking for a place to play that keeps me out of Lincoln or East Lansing in February and March. even at a lower level I watch North Dakota State win a national championship every year and they celebrate. No one looks around and says we didn’t win the CFP The B1G baseball teams play down south in the early spring, just like we do their first home game last year was March 6th. High 35, low 23 with wind gust to 23 mph. Hey batter batter

Its a whole lot better than a cold wind that cuts like a knife no matter how many layers I have on.

I'm an Eastern Oregon boy so cold, windy, and dry is no biggie.....I absolutely hate the cold, rainy winters in the valley.

Well, if the Beavers do get into the Big 12, the travel would not be that big of an issue with so many ex-Pac teams there. Plus, I think that the conference could probably work out the schedules to alleviate a lot of long trips for everyone. If OSU is left out, then the best course of action would be to try to piece together a "Pac" conference that includes teams from both the MWC and AAC. I think adding schools from the AAC is a must. Teams like Tulane, Memphis, USF, UTSA and possibly SMU not only add a strong footprint through the South but all are in bigger markets and could potentially make stronger inroads if given a good opportunity (particularly UTSA). The conference could be divided into West-East and scheduling could be done to keep most teams in their area until the championship games or tournaments. But even to pull something like this off, you've got to "chase the money."
