Not sure how to post this article, so will say it's easy to pull up in the LA TIMES by writer Brady McCollough.

The only things I really want to know at this point are.....
1) was USC already going to bail for the B1G when they shot down expansion by absorbing Big 12 schools?? Or, did that nefarious plot develop after after?
2) who was the idiot that brought back the $50 million valuation?
Yormark really did out-maneuver the Pac big time......he saw it for what it is.

"Multiple sources declined to provide further details about the university president because discretion is demanded in the industry, especially when details of discussions could deeply damage a person’s reputation."
LOL... you have to love the integrity of the multiple sources. We will give you all the dirt, maybe even make it easy to figure out who was involved, but because of discretion!?
I get the reporter not giving up the name of the President from a source even if it was extrapolated from the info, but the I find the justification pretty ironic. You don't give up a name because it might affect their reputation? The sources?
But, making a decision that may have been a major factor in displacing hundreds of athletes from better conditions, destroying a century old conference, possibly ruining rivalries, and creating financial hardships on public universities... I'd think that reputation needs a full disclosure! And, the sources are too weak to be actual whistle blowers. Hence, the problem with the entire system. We'll tell you how convoluted, chaotic, and idiotic the whole thing was... but, I want to stay a part of "it".
Folks may read this and still focus on George. But, HOLY EFF... what a bunch of weak arse, supposed leaders run our universities. The loudest squeaky wheel runs the show and is assumed to "know". The Pac12 as it stood deserves to be gone. Hopefully the (4), or (2) left can rebuild and find some leaders with cajones (literal and figuratively for some) from this point forward.

I'd think the reputation needs a full disclosure! Probably not about reputation, probably more about Lawsuits. Carol Folt seems to be somewhat exposed. On that committee she had a fiduciary duty to the conference, and it appears she didn't do her duty. Will lawsuits be filed...who knows.

Looks like the writer posed the possibility that OSU and WSU were for the $50 million per school demand but pretty much dismisses it in the next paragraph.
