Basically Apple was going to invest a half billion
bucks into streaming football and basketball and whatever,
pay the guarantee, and (here's the kicker) any subscription profits beyond the amount to cover the guarantee would be split 50/50. Those 1.7 and 5 million subscribers figures were just examples... The sky was the limit, but "2 schools" didn't show up.

That's really funny. Two talking heads, both anal retentive, without a clue what was in that Apple package. Crow said ASU was fascinated with the deal and the technology that he termed "23rd century". Some media consulting firms have said the 1.7 mil subscription target would have been a slam dunk.
I'll tell you another guy with a little marketing saaavy that absolutely loved it but saw too many wavering to ever see it happen. Phil Knight.

All this is doing is making me not wanna be around the handful of duck fans I know......I have my live fantasy drafts coming up, and I really don't want to see these choads in their green, and hi-liter bulls%#t

I come from the era when Ducks were a fraction better that OSU and far worse in hoops. Perhaps it's a generational thing because I Gen Z douchebag duckfan are annoying AF. Every one of my Duck friends I grew up with feel bad about the break up and think it's s%#tty the position OSU is in. They are excited about potential Big 10 matchups...but fully aware what impact it will have on other sports. Except one. He tried to give me s%#t but I shot him down by making him confirm how many rushing attempts the Beavs had in the 2md half of last year's Civil War. A civil war win this year would be the ultimate cherry on close the door on that rivalry |

I do like to fish the McKenzie, and middle Willy down there.....oh and the Bowrack in Springtucky is a sweet archery shop. |
