I've been reading a few things today, such as this: sports.yahoo.com/could-george-w-bush-and-condi-rice-help-push-acc-to-expansion-heres-why-some-member-schools-are-unhappy-224245252.htmlThere's a quote - "Oregon State and Washington State have hired a familiar name as a consultant. Oliver Luck, the former West Virginia athletic director and NCAA executive, is working with the two schools to coordinate their next moves." This is the second time I've seen mention that Oliver Luck is only working with OSU/WSU, and probably just some coordination / discussions w/ Stanford & Cal. If true, this really doesn't seem like Stanford & Cal are committed to working together. For once, rather than being dependent upon someone else (uo/uw, now Stanford) for our destiny, I wish we could set our own. Even if Stanford & Cal leave, I still think a best of the AAC, best of the MW and OSU/WSU makes more money and gets us a seat at the table. Now if only the media people agree...

This makes sense considering the reports that Stanford is still trying to flip a vote in the ACC to take them and Cal and that they are not willing to join MWC schools. They are still holding on to their academics and what other schools those fit with.

So let me get this straight......we're not cool enough for the big boy football schools.....and we're not nerdy enough for the academic schools. Its funny cuz being from northeastern OR, I've always known a lot of coogs. I've always felt a connection with them. I always root for them in the Apple Cup. Are they our ride or die? 😆
