Phil has a lot of power in politics. It's likely nothing will happen. If the Beavs had run away I'm betting Phil's influence in politics w would have reined in the beavs.

Has anyone even seen PK recently? In 1997 and 1998, I lived off of Scholls Ferry and was working in downtown Hillsboro. I'd take River Road to Hwy 219 into Hillsboro. I'd see him often traveling toward Beaverton in a Ferrari or some type of sports car. I ask because he may not even care now and may be winding down.

Been behind "knight1" a couple times on Jenkins by Nike, but not for like 15 years.

I understand these are public institutions but the thought of government involvement makes me cringe so hard. These people are basically like basketball officials who want to make the game about them, they don't really care about the sport, they want to be on camera. Legislators won't really try to do the right thing, whatever that is.
Can you imagine if the shoe were on the other foot and people were talking about blocking us from doing something, or talking about forcing us to make payments to the UO to compensate them? We'd be out of our minds irate. This falls firmly into "be careful what you wish for" territory.

Little known fact. Both are way more tied into Oregon (the schools own best interests) than what they should or currently have ever been. A lot of political muscle there even as ex-governor. And Wyden likes his special interests and the ucks are one of them.
Both Kate Brown and Ron Wyden attended Oregon basketball games often. Both are big, big fans of the ucks and Knight. Often seen with many of the Oregon Coaches even when she was Governor

Ron Wyden grew up in California and attended UCSB, where he played basketball, and Stanford. He got his JD in Eugene. He has lived in Oregon since 1971. Kate Brown grew up in Minnesota, got an undergrad at Colorado, and a JD at Lewis and Clark. She has been an Oregonian since 1982 and is no longer the Governor. The current Governor is Tina Kotek. She grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Oregon at age 21 in 1987 and got her undergrad from Eugene and a Master's at UWashington. I think all three will do and would do what they think is best for all of Oregon.

A certain Ramp can show you pictures of Kate Brown hugging another Ramp at a Beaver baseball game.
