It sounds like ACC rejects Stanford and Cal so now what? Were stronger together. From what I've read, I think things have stalled but they have not made a concrete decision one way or another. Whatever happens with Stanford and Cal definitely has a "trickle down" effect on OSU and WSU. I've seen reports that OSU and WSU will join the Big 12 if Stanford and Cal join the ACC. I've seen reports that the Pac-4 will merge with the MWC/Others. I've seen reports that the MWC is open to adding teams (most likely meaning that it includes just OSU and WSU if they are left with that option). I don't think Stanford will be a part of anything with the other three moving forward (if the ACC doesn't work out). What happens to OSU and WSU? Who knows? But I think there are still dominoes to fall before they find a home. Nothing (especially an announcement of joining the MWC) has been decided yet. And all of this could go on for some time. |

Notre Dame very much wants to add California and Stanford. But four universities can block any conference changes. And it sounds like 4-5 conference members are currently blocking the move.

Notre Dame very much wants to add California and Stanford. But four universities can block any conference changes. And it sounds like 4-5 conference members are currently blocking the move. I heard they're meeting again tomorrow. Not sure it's over yet. so ACC takes 'furd and Kal...B12 then gets guilted/roped/cajoled into taking us and the 'Cougs? |

B12 doesn't want us. Also doesn't make any sense. Utah/BYU would be the closest teams.

Add us and WSU, ASU, UA, Colo, Utah and we have six legacy Pac12. BYU is in the same state as Utah. For major sports travel may not be that much different than what we have had. Play a couple league games in Central/Eastern (we have played in West Lafayette, Columbus, and Minneapolis) and play non conf games on the Coast. Don't know about minor sports. |
