I fully understand your issue with my post. Don't get me wrong...a horrible event for the people of Maui to experience. My heart goes out to the families that lost property and loved ones. No....this did not "happen to OSU" but it has been such a formidable event for WBB players to participate in....working with local schools and playing OOC games (OOC TBD) it's unfortunate that this years team may not get that opportunity.

There is time to reschedule to another Hawaiian island or an alternative warm location. Hopefully, the Maui Invitational can restart in 2024-25 season.

Talked to Oregon State WBB coach Scott Rueck tonight about the devastating fire in Lahaina, Maui. The Beavers host an annual pre-Christmas tournament in that area. Scott said the gym and hotel where they stay survived.

If it can be worked out I'd think having the team there would be a nice show of support for the community.
