The yucks portray themselves as forward thinking,on the edge, modern, can see the future,....Yet given an opportunity to take the apple deal and potentially make more money than what they now have they retreat to the old model.

Don’t think it was the Apple deal at all. As soon as U$C bolted, the ducks packed their bags. George K never stood a chance.

Without the LA market in the PAC 12, it's a lesser product without a great TV deal. The writing was on the wall. It's the SEC and B1G......then everyone else.

This, a thousand times. How can no one see that linear is brick and mortar, it is on deaths door, and streaming is the way of the future. We will never know now, but if I was a Pac12 president I would have been excited to bet the over on the the Apple TV deal, and to be at the forefront of innovation, not trying to hold it back. Sigh, it is all so depressing and frustrating... I am going to need a prescription for Wellbutrin after all of this

I dislike Hole as much as anyone and do not like the position they and others have put OSU in. But their departure to the B1G is a sound and understandable business decision. Had they remained loyal with the Pac disintegrating around everyone, they would likely have not landed a same or better deal going elsewhere or in a reconstituted Pac.

Take a long hard look at The Beavs and Cougs.... This is your future. SEC Teams are probably all pretty safe, not as much dead weight in that conference. And the south supports their football like no other region. Maybe Missouri and South Carolina, but probably not As for the Big 12 and ACC, they are all just biding time until they go the way of the Pac-12 as well.... Colorado, Utah, UA and ASU just jumped from one sinking ship to another is all

Plus, I think Vanderbilt doesn't bring in a lot of football revenue. I could see them being threatened some day. But most of the SEC is solid.
