What on earth would his slash line look like if he ever got off to a fast start? It takes him a while to find his barrel but once he does it's a light show. If he can find a way to come out of the chute hitting, he might blast 25 home runs in a college season. Power doesn't begin to describe it, unleashing it is the challenge.
OF Gavin Turley, Falmouth, Oregon State, 2025 Turley was a highly regarded prep bat but his raw toolset found its way to Corvallis where he had an up and down year for Oregon State. His summer had a similar trajectory but ended on a high note with a productive final stretch. He has an open stance with a big load where he toe taps into a leg kick. The moving parts turn into plenty of swing and miss which he can hopefully cut down over the next two seasons. His bat speed is arguably plus-plus which results in plus raw power when he can make contact. He is also a good runner with a strong arm but his future will rely on him hopefully refining the hit tool. Alongside Travis Bazzana, Oregon State played a big role in the offensive production for Falmouth which could potentially lead them all the way to a CCBL championship. Perfect Game
Gavin Turley (Oregon State) @falcommodores @beaverbaseball ('25) had two hits yesterday including w/ a HR and a 2B, 106! mph exit velo on the long ball. The tooled-up freshman now has a 6-game hit streak w/ 3 multi-hit games in a row. He hit .309/.438/.664 w/ 14 HR this spring

Also from the Cape, Travis is Falmouth's MVP. He hit a league-leading .375, had a 1,037 OPS, with 6 HR and 31 RBI. Just for fun, he stole 14 bases.
Dream away Beavers . . . Bazzana, Turley, Caraway.
Not a pretty picture for opposing pitchers.

Your title is very deceiving, those were Turley's numbers with the Beavers, not this summer at the Cape.

Oops!
I missed the bottom line of that tweet. The numbers excited me!
Sorry about that.
