I live in Phoenix for about 5 - 6 months of the year so I attend some sporting events (90+% are Beaver contest) in Tucson and Phoenix. I usually buy tickets through the schools and seem to be on mailing lists for both universities. Both of these schools have communicated with me on their decisions to leave the PAC-12 and I have responded to both universities of my profound disappointment in their decision and that I will not support them in the future after this year. But I have not received anything from OSU either on their website or email on this matter. i will pony up a financial contribution, but I want to know what is our plan of action.

Over last 48 hrs, Barnes has had channels open to MWC, AAC, ACC & Big12. The Pac12 'Forgotten Four' have assets: we have 4 great schools, a CFP bid, the Pac12 Network and $400M.Beavers will find best deal for them.
Plan A) Save the Pac12 by backfilling and make a deal w Apple. Plan B) Join the Big 12 Plan C) Merge with MWC Plan D) Merge with AAC or ACC

Plan A) Save the Pac12 by backfilling and find a new media deal. Plan B) Join the Big 12 Plan C) Merge with MWC Plan D) Merge with AAC or ACC what you posted is something we should all be aware of. The moronic media thinks we only have the MWC to run to and we will only get $5M. Wrong. We have the four potential pathways you noted that could give the loyal Pac-4 solid deals and a good conference solution!

The ACC is locked into a non-negotiable TV contract through 2036 that pays about $23 million a year. That's less than we would have received from Apple. That's why FSU (publicly) and Clemson and UNC (privately) are trying so hard to get out.
So why would want to join the ACC, fly all the way across the country for 3/4 of our games played at 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. PDT, and get less money than will be available via the future TV contract we will sign, the Pac reimbursement money we will receive as long as we stay in the conference, and what I expect wil be about $5 million a year from Oregon paying us for the economic damage their decision caused?

Thoughts on the other three pathways?

There is one clear option that keeps OSU relevant and the momentum moving forward, and I hope he is pursuing it. If we join the Big 12, they will be at 18 and could go to three pods of 6 teams each. We'd be in a pod with our former PAC brethren. Far and away option #1! Trying to cobble together a glorified Group of 5 conference has to be the LAST resort.

I think the options are in this order.
1. Expand otherwise they will be giving up a lot of money from the NCAA
2. BIG-12 If that is even an option. Various opinions on that subject.
3. Merge with MWC
All of the others are non starters in my opinion

If the MWC is the chosen option there cannot be a buyout requirement.
