I rarely post unless I feel I have something of value to say. Many times others say it better than I can. So just let me state my feelings regarding everything that has happened. I have been a Beaver fan since 1961 and am a Beaver grad, as is my son. When it comes to college sports we bleed orange and black. We always try to attend a couple of football games and baseball as well. I have thought about how I want to say how I feel. First, college sports have always been special to me for several reasons I will not go into. After the last several years I began to feel that numerous teams and other business's began to make college sports what it should never be. I see the Alabama's and Ohio states with several others as the whores of college sports. Their pimps are ESPN and Fox sports. So now Texas and Oklahoma have become whores along with much of the pac 12. All I can say to all of them is welcome to whoredom. I hope you enjoy your new whorehouse of the SEC,BIG 10 or Big12.I hope that does not come across as mean spirited but rather one way to look at what was once a wonderful part of sports in America.

I'll chime in with my own feelings. The Pac 10 expanded, but did not get the bigger schools they may have wanted. The writing was on the wall. Facts are facts. The right coast has an F ton of tv's....and people watch tv far more than the left coast does. When our games are on, most of the right coast is asleep.
I hate where this has went, but to quote "Smith" in The Matrix......"That....is the sound of inevitability".
That said, I am coming around to the thought of competing in a conference (Hopefully a merger), where the field has a similar feel to it. I wear my beaver gear nearly daily, I hang the flag on my RV trailer when I camp. Heck, my bass is orange, and I have strung it on occasion with black coated strings. None......I repeat....none of that will change.
