For my 1000th post…
It is truly “all hands on deck” time for Beaver Nation. My question is where is the most effective place to increase donations? Is it better to support OBN or the Dam Nation collective?

Is it better to support OBN or the Dam Nation collective? Thoughts??? I'm going to say neither at this point. Both are basically direct aide to the individual athletes... scholarships and monetary. They really don't give $ to athletic programs. To stay D1 OSU must have a minimum # of sports with scholarship limits. That's not the revenue line items that will be missing the most. The media, conference, NCAA revenue/distributions will almost disappear. Hence, $ to a overall program support fund would be best. Their is a "donation" line item, but I'm pretty sure that's from BN schollies $?? In any case OSU will have to have a new fundraising initiative for athletics. I'd wait to see what happens there. |

The NIL collectives are, to my knowledge, no longer tax deductible. IRS ruling happened this year. Donations to OBN, as long as you don't get preferred seating or parking, are to my knowledge tax deductible. Might as well get a little bump from your donation.
