Seems inevitable at this point.
Interesting to see how it will affect WBB. I assume recruiting will become astronomically more difficult.
Even though the past few years have been tough, Scott is a good coach and very solid evaluator and developer of talent.
Ideally we become a Gonzaga-type IMO.

Basketball, in general, allows an outlier to have success much more so than football. So we'll see. If we wind up in the Mountain West, our program as it currently is structured should be dominant, and get to the NCAA tournament regularly. Whether we can maintain the program? Who knows?

Wherever OSU lands, the Beavers now have a weaker conference schedule, and this will make it even more challenging to host first and second round games in the ncaa women's tournament, and regionals and super regionals in the baseball tournament, unless we load up AND win against the toughest non-conference opponents available to boost the RPI.
Congratulations on winning the Mountain West, you're going to Baton Rouge.

Wherever OSU lands, the Beavers now have a weaker conference schedule, and this will make it even more challenging to host first and second round games in the ncaa women's tournament, and regionals and super regionals in the baseball tournament, unless we load up AND win against the toughest non-conference opponents available to boost the RPI. Congratulations on winning the Mountain West, you're going to Baton Rouge. That assumes we can keep the recruiting up since we just lost 3-4 possible qualifying spots by downgrading conferences. |

Softball is driven by pitchers. There is not nearly enough of them to cover the p5 schools and we have not been able to land on of them as a pac 12 team. No way will we now. The Beavers will still have a team for title IX it just won't be competitive against the power schools. |

Seems like we would have an advantage I’m not very knowledgeable in regards to softball, but it’s been interesting to read Oregon players’ tweets. A lot of them don’t seem thrilled. Hard to blame them given the frequency of softball games. |
