just when they were finally ready to make their big run to Omaha next spring. That is a heck of a run. Boulder to Omaha, 555 miles.

Probably only about 6 weeks in the spring and 6 weeks in the fall that the weather would allow the opportunity. I'm pretty confident that Forest Gump or Steve Prefontaine in their prime could do it.

I don't believe Montana and Wyoming play high school baseball, but Colorado does. I looked at the prominent 5A teams in Colorado and their number of games played this last season ranged between 28 and 31. Of course, the college season would be much longer so the weather issue is understandable.
When George finally announces the elusive K-9 (Kliavkoff-9) Conference media rights package, I hope any expansion includes schools with good baseball teams. The Beaver roster and future recruiting classes beg for great competition. I'd be happy with Vanderbilt as Colorado's replacement.
Go Beavs!

Montana (home state of ex-Beav / ex-MLB / ex-Mexican Leaguer Tyler Graham), added HS baseball in 2023. Polson over Whitefish for the State Championship. Only WY and SD don't have HS baseball.

Good for Montana, they have always had a strong American Legion presence across the state during the summer months.
What class was the Polson v Whitefish final? Those are very small schools.
