(Riley lost his last two road games at Oregon State. GAG was a perfect 0-14. Hall lost his three. Smitty lost his first three.) The 22-game road losing streak was the nation's longest. It was also Oregon State's longest-ever road losing streak. Oregon State's previous road losing streak was 21 from 1978-1982. However, that streak was also 22-straight away from Corvallis, if you include the Mirage Bowl loss. And that was a 25-game winless streak. There was a tie in Pullman on a last-minute field goal that broke the streak. Oregon State lost the next three road games under Avezzano. Once again, that is a 26-game winless streak away from Corvallis, if you include the Mirage Bowl loss. |
