Notre Dame has the history, name power, and probably the financial backing/NIL power, to take most any recruit they want .
We own them on the football field this century though.

Notre Dame has the luck of the Irish. If they had played us regularly a century ago, their football program would be mentioned in the same breath as other regional catholic universities. . . DePaul, Detroit Mercy, Dayton etc.

Honestly, I’ve never heard of the kid before this thread and don’t care one iota where he goes to play football. But I know there’s plenty of grown men right here that have probably followed him closely. That’s why I suppose it’s reasonable to understand the order to “respect my decision.” Yes, I’m making too much of it, I know. It is just another reason that I’ve grown weary of what college football has become. High school kids drawing televised coverage to do the stupid hat thing, being followed on Twitter, NIL deals. Yet I probably wouldn’t have given it a second thought if the kid had merely added one simple word. It has nothing to do with ND, OSU, etc. |
