This may have been talked about already, but I was wondering if anyone knows what will happen with the football visitors locker room in Gill now that they don't need it. It's a horrible space currently, but very big and could be turned into lots of different possibilities. Maybe a nice small workout and weight room? More whirlpools or saunas? Or maybe new upgraded locker rooms for some of the other teams.

I've never been in the basement. But when I started at OSU (40 years ago, holy sh!t, when did I turn into an old fart?) the basement had the athlete's weight room and I think a museum. What is all that space now?

What is all that space now? yep the Horner museum used to be down there but it's been gone for awhile. It's now the Benton County museum downtown on 2nd street. There are a lot of locker rooms, some for specific teams or officials, some just extra. There's also the media rooms for interviews and stories, and some really nice new amenities when the museum moved out. But the football visitors locker room is horrible, very dark and dank and old. It's a pretty big space though that could be used for a variety of things, hopefully something is put in there soonish. Maybe some upgraded locker rooms for the wrestling and volleyball teams? Both the basketball teams have very nice locker rooms already. I was just wondering if anyone knew. |
