Most flights from and to Salem are priced at $39 to/from either Burbank (LA) or Las Vegas. Got an email from Avelo just now.

Guess who has two thumbs and lives in south salem in a direct line from the airport to Vegas and/or Burbank? This guy... those little 737s or whatever are loud. |

Flew out of Salem once when they had the Delta connection to SLC. Really convenient, only 40 minutes from my house, and (at the time) free parking close to the terminal. It's about 40 minutes to Eugene, too. I notice they have finally put up a walkway across the street from the economy parking lot to the current covered walkway in long-term parking. Eugene's economy lot feels like it's in Junction City, it's at least 1/2 mile to the terminal. |

Eugene airport passenger counts are about 150% of 2019 levels. There's a huge pent up demand for travel. The local paper showed plans for doubling the capacity of the airport with construction starting in 2026.

Eugene airport passenger counts are about 150% of 2019 levels. There's a huge pent up demand for travel. The local paper showed plans for doubling the capacity of the airport with construction starting in 2026. Parking lots at EUG were packed today! And still packed at 12:30 AM Oct 7 when my delayed flight got in. So much easier to fly in & out of EUG than battle I-5/I-205 to PDX. However, we did have to sit on the tarmac for ~15 minutes while they rounded up a ground crew to guide the plane in and extend the jetway to the plane door! |

Without a delay/ cancellation of my United flight to the bay area last November, I would not have had the opportunity to meet Ryan Cooper's mother, and his younger brother! |
