Agree with you, but I follow recruiting pretty closely and this staff has been comparatively really good in keeping recruits that committed to them. If my memory serves, there were only 2 decommitments last year and only 1 from this year so far (the one is actually a young man who decided not to play football at all). Compare this to someone like UCLA who has more decommits this year than current commits. |

It cuts both ways. Coaches are pressuring kids to commit earlier and earlier - usually on the summer camp circuit, long before senior year even starts. I don't really blame a 17 year old kid for changing his mind. We've always experienced losing a couple kids and we've always picked up a couple kids originally committed somewhere else, so it goes... I believe we even have 2-3 WSU commits visiting this weekend. |
