Baseball America has named corner infielder Trent Caraway to their 2023 First Team All American Squad. The 14 man team consists of 8 position payers, a DH and 5 pitchers. Here's their capsule on Trent.
Trent Caraway 3B, JSerra Catholic HS, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
Caraway helped lead JSerra to the championship of the CIF Southern Section in California this spring. He’s an offensive-oriented infielder with strength, impressive raw power and eye catching bat speed. Caraway has above-average arm strength that should fit nicely at the hot corner with continued defensive development. Oregon State commit.
Paul Wilson LHP from Lakeridge HS Paul was named to the 14 man All American Second Team. He's one of the Top-10 pitchers in the country with BA .
COMMENT: It's fun to see OSU recruits attract so much national attention. Last year you couldn't read anything with out seeing Gavin Turley's name prominently featured. This year it's been Trent Caraway stealing all the headlines and next year's shining star has already started receiving lots of ink - RHP Zach Swanson, the 24th ranked recruit nationally. Of course the crescendo may come with OSU recruit Xavier Neyens in 2025. He's been a headliner since 8th grade and is currently ranked 13th nationally in his class.

That 2025 class is going to be excellent. Neyens looks amazing. Mason Pike and RJ Holmes both look fantastic and both are fast risers lately.
Definitely a lot to look forward to.

I agree, the 2025 group is an interesting class. It has a distinct northwest flavor with 4 recruits from Washington and 4 from Oregon. 4 more are from California and 1 from Arizona. A 13 man class to date and all from OSU's traditional recruiting area. What is really interesting is 9 of the 13 recruits are multi-position players with several playing 3 positions in high school. Nine of the 13 pitch but most are D1 level position players as well. A definite emphasis on recruiting athletic pitchers.
I expect to see some additions to this class prior to national signing day in November. The nucleus is here, but some additional talent via transfer or a late recruiting pick up will finish off an excellent class for the Beavs. A touted late addition would really give this OSU class helium - the problem is there are only six '25 "Helium prospects" left in the consensus TOP-50 that are uncommitted. Picking up any one of these guys would be icing on the cake.
