And then, there were four. TCU-Florida LSU-Wake Forest Florida and Wake Forest with the inside track. This feels eerily familiar. LSU out of the losers' bracket playing the #1 overall seed, while TCU tries to come out of the losers' bracket against Florida on the other side of the bracket? 2017 redux! Déjà vu! Oregon State lost to LSU in 2012 and 2017. A fun fact is that Oregon State went to the College World Series both years following losses to LSU.

#2 Florida advances, 3-2. TCU left the bases loaded twice (one with two out, the other occasion with only one out), and had a runner out at home.

I guess that means its Wake... Florida swept LSU in the final back in 2017. The following season, Oregon State swept LSU in the Corvallis Regional and won a National Championship.

The Polls, RPI, and ELO all had Wake and Florida as being the top two. With LSU in the 4 to 6 range. And here we are.
One good thing about the SEC, when the PAC and other conferences are long gone....having an SEC team or two hanging around at least gives me someone to root against. Go WAKE!

LSU up 5-2, hoping to get to the 'if necessary' game.

LSU up 5-2, hoping to get to the 'if necessary' game. The game is necessary. I was afraid of this.

Wake Forest gets Skenes tomorrow & LSU gets Lowder, should be a must watch game for college baseball nuts.
Meanwhile, Florida is waiting in the championship series, having gotten there efficiently at 3-0. Florida has won three straight one run games. "Beautiful Baseball" Which makes it my favorite game.(With college football a close 2nd)

Skenes is just nasty. Throwing 101 FB down! Ouch! We apparently had a shot at this guy last year. A real Team Changer. That Portal is expensive. Just may have LSU winning it all.

Skenes (Lange in 2017) pitches today, and he's done until at least Monday (Wednesday in 2017). Regardless of today's outcome, Florida has already won the thing. The only question is who gets to lose to the Gators.

We had no chance for Skenes once LSU opened up the wallet.

The LSU v. Wake Forest really should've been the Finals. Great teams, both.

Welp. I'm done watching. Only positive of this matchup is they didn't play in season.
