Puhleeze . . . . stop dissing the south during this Baton Rouge Regional. Y'all jes don't get it . . . . what's not to like about 95 degrees with the humidity driving the heat index to 110 degrees every day from May through October? And what about the thunder and lightening daily at 3pm like clockwork, the torrential downpours that bring the Interstate's to a standstill, and a Gator or imported Brazillian Croc lurking on your front lawn? Are you offended when a cockroach leaps out of your dish of Gumbo . . or an army of Cockroaches is sharing your Crawfish Etouffe? And, what is it you have against Coral snakes, Water Mocs, Diamondbacks and somebody's pet Python that got loose? And what's your problem with the joy of seeing swarms of Mosquitos and Fire ants every evening? Next, you'll be critical of Hurricanes and their excitement, coming out of the Gulf that cut a messy swath through everything in their way. You northwest boys, with your warm summer temperatures and cool ocean breezes are in no position to take cheap shots at the thrill of "southern living".

Questionable post when our team is not looking too good. But-to each his own.

As someone who lived in the south for 5 years... As soon as we could (literally the day we graduated) we moved back to Oregon, and while I would consider visiting again, I would never move back

My neighbor was a forestry professor at Mississippi State for about 3-4 years. He was going to leave Starkville no matter what, even if it meant changing professions, before he luckily got a position at OSU.
The mid-Atlantic south (Virginia, North Carolina) is very tolerable. No way would I ever live in the deep south, no matter how attractive Ben and Erin Nappier make it seem.
To each his own. But I think there is a reason Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas are among the states with the highest percentage of native-born residents. Nobody in their right mind would ever move there.

Amen!
But people do move to Florida - no income tax.

I know plenty of people that have moved down to Louisiana and love it.

Do you have a list of States 1-50 with the most native born residents and actual data? Also, Why is having a high percentage of native born residents a bad thing? Furthermore, what is the percentage difference from the bad native born states and the good states with less native born?
