West Linn defended their 6A state title with a 2-0 win over Jesuit and Noble Meyer. Meyer allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits while striking out 14 WL hitters. Meyer is a uo commit and is expected to be drafted in the first 10 picks of the July MLB Draft. He's rated a better pro prospect than Mick Abel was several years ago. Drake Gabel threw a 6 hit shutoput for the Lions and the play of the game was an incredible catch by WL Catcher Ryan Vandenbrink (OSU Class of '24) that ruined an inning for the Crusaders.
Springfield-Thurston HS won the 5A title when freshman star Grady Saunders (OSU class of '26) hit an 8th inning walk-off, inside the park home run propelling the Colts to a 2-1 victory over West Albany HS.
Scappoose prevailed over Pendleton in the 4A final. The Buckaroos ace right hander, Easton Corey (OSU Class of '23) is injured and didn't play.
