Lakeridge LHP Paul Wilson is projected to be the 50th selection (2nd Round) in the July draft. This is what BA said about him back in February.
Wilson is the son of Trevor Wilson, a lefthander who pitched eight seasons in the majors, mostly with the Giants. Paul is committed to Oregon State, where his father pitched, and has a compact arm stroke and varies between a three-quarter and high three-quarter slot, occasionally dropping lower. That could be the source of his erratic fastball command, but Wilson has good velocity from the left side. He pitches heavily off his fastball, which sits at 88-93 mph and can reach 95.
