I don't mind it at all. Aside from Skenes, their starting pitching is very suspect. Some decent bullpen guys, sure. Obviously, they can hit. But so can we. Plus, they're not Arizona. Skenes will definitely be pitching the second game. The bullpen arms have been the issue. And Floyd has been pretty good in his last 5 starts. Of course he is, playing a team with a sub 0.33 win %, what a joke. Go Green Wave!

If you want to make it to the CWS you're going to have to beat very good teams. It's a championship tournament, there is no easy way through. If we're good enough, we'll win. If we're not, we won't. I mean, there is definitely EASIER ways in. Lexington, Nashville, Terre Haute is an interesting and competitve mix but I would rate it easier on difficulty. Alabama and Stanford are ridiculously unbalanced imo.

I think the Beavers better worry about Sam Houston St before entertaining the thought of trying to beat LSU. The Beavers are in no position to look past anyone.

Doesn't really matter who we pitch where though. Starters are pretty much on level.

The only bad draw is not being drawn.

Skenes and Crews are projecting 1-2 in this draft. Some like Skenes first and some like Crews first. Pick your poison!
Rumor has it, Skenes spent a little time in Corvallis last summer but the attraction of LSU's NIL was too good to pass up.

Oh swell, LSU will likely hold Skenes for the second game, Beav's. Skenes is likely the #1 Pick in the Draft. They say routinely high 90's and over 100. With about 170 K's and a ERA of 1.89. LSU's OF Dylan Crews is the likely #1 pick. Wait how many #1 picks do these dudes have?!?!

Has any team, especially a 4 seed, set up their pitching to come out of the losers bracket. Pitch a 4th or 5th starter, and let him go long and bring in the bottom guys from the bullpen. If they lose 20-5, so be it. Then setup their 2nd game with their #2 starter, and if they win pitch their number 1 in game 3. Basically saying we hope to get the number 1 seeds 3rd or 4th best starters instead of their 1 or 2.
As far as LSU's ace, I'm not sure you want to hold back the ace to play on Saturday. If you win the regional, he might not be able to go on Friday in the Super.
I think this is a good draw for this team, this young team needs to learn what it takes to win at the highest level. If they can shock LSU, what kind of confidence will it mean next year when we have a legit shot at Omaha. Pitching should be better in cajun country rather than the dry desert air. Pitchers will probably have much better bite on their ball with the higher humidity. Hopefully our batting stays hot down there.
