We'll be rested and ready to play in a regional game. The players will flush the tournament and re-focus on who they are.
For the faithful, we have to put that staggering memory behind us - we allowed 27 runs, gave up 40 hits including 6 doubles, 4 triples and 4 home runs in only 18 innings.
That's enough to give anyone PTSD.

Maybe...can we beat KState though? Of course Oregon State can. Will we, though? You best be ahead of KSU late. Their closer is the real deal. Neighbors(?) Very high K:BB ratio. Tiny ERA and BAA with 11 saves. |

I don't think this would be a bad draw except it has us potentially goin to LSU for a super.

Oregon State beat Washington in Omaha 14-5 in 2018; swept the series in Seattle in 2019 (1-0, 10-7, and 4-3); swept the series in Seattle in 2021 (3-0, 8-1, and 13-3); swept the series in Corvallis in 2022 (4-3, 8-0, and 7-1); won the opener in the Pac-12 Tournament 13-8; and won the first two in Seattle this year (6-3 and 5-1). 13 straight! The most ever consecutive wins by either team in the series. That 13-8 win in Scottsdale was the second-to-last game that Lindsay Meggs ever coached. Oregon State won 11 straight to usher Meggs into retirement. Beautiful! Oregon State has not lost outside of Seattle to Washington since a March 25, 2018, loss. Oregon State has not lost a series to Washington since 2013, which is three years longer than the next-longest winning streak (against California). Always fun to beat those guys. |
