Not good in the long run for the Cougs. Wazzu has seemed like they have been playing fast and loose with finances since Mike Leach was there. Add in that we are in what month seven of the Rolovich lawsuit? Plus Wazzu usually starts out with the smallest budget to begin with. Any weird blips are going to be troublesome to most of the Pac-12 universities. But they can be catastrophic to Wazzu.

Moos got them way into debt rebuilding the stadium, counting on pac-12 Network money that never materialized. He didn't have Uncle Phil to cover his overdrafts, as he did at Oregon.

Rolovich lawsuit attorney fees and any settlement (unlikely) will not come from wsu athletic department funds. This is an Olympia thing, not a Pullman thing.

I guess that I should not guess at what I do not absolutely know. I mean it all comes from Olympia. How they allocate it is another issue.

The State of Washington is still not out of the woods. There are still other outstanding claims/ charges pending against the state. Not sure of the details, but it is not completely over. Plus, I think he has the right to appeal, to the U.S. Supreme Court. He may decide not to, or the court may not take the case, but it is not over yet.

Rolovich sued Pat Chun, Jay Inslee, and Washington State University. The judge threw out the Chun and Inslee parts of the lawsuit, because it looks like Rolovich sued the wrong Defendants. The individual Plaintiff who probably would have been the proper Defendant is Washington State President, Kirk Schulz, but Schulz was never named as a Defendant.

This thread has no where to go except political talk (again). It could stay even-headed and factual?

This thread has no where to go except political talk (again). It could stay even-headed and factual? with this group of misfits (myself included)?

It could stay even-headed and factual? with this group of misfits (myself included)? I mean it's a ticking time bomb, but we can all hope that it does not explode here.

This thread has no where to go except political talk (again). I understand the pro boards has a ban on 'politics'...I just wish I knew what qualifies as 'political'... Seems to me that the default is 'if it is controversial' = politics, which seems pretty vague... Who or what, pray tell, are the “pro boards?” BennysHouse.com is apolitical. Discussing a news story is apolitical. Discussing history is apolitical. Spinning either one of the above with your bias* usually leads to deletion, threadlock, time-out, and/or banning. All depending on my mood or whim. So it’s best to “stick to sports.” Refer to the house rules if you need a refresher. bennyshouse.com/thread/22/bennys-house-rules*it’s like pornography, you know it when you see it.

Don't think ProBoards has a ban on politics specifically, it's got bans on some of the stuff that invariably tend to get injected into political discussions.
