Crazy strike zone.
Games like this, I’d really prefer a bot.

Lots of STAFF stats there. But, is your answer that Trent Sellers and Jacob Kmatz are both Quality starters? Not just quality starters but quality starters on a top ten team. I love the Beavs but "Top Ten" is world-class cherry picking (D-1 BB being the outlier).

Name me ONE high quality starting pitcher on the 2023 Beavers. Can't have a Hjerpe every year man. Our pitching is average to good in the PAC, get over it. Biggest problem for our pitching is we lose guys to the draft constantly, a problem for most high level programs. Our top pitching candidate has gone pro the 2020 (Mick Abel) and 2022 (Tyler Gough). Others have left early for the pros like Frisch and Pfennigs. Quality pitching is always a challenge and you have to enjoy the phenoms if you get them. Personally im pretty happy with the crop of frosh and looking forward to seeing Jimenez, Hutchenson, Keljo and Meija mature and absolutely wreck the P12 next year. I expect Ferrer and Brown will be gone in the draft. Hunter is an outside shot at getting drafted with some of the stuff he put up this year. Kmatz isn't eligible and Sellers will be seasoning atleast another year. We have a crazy recruiting class for pitchers so well see how that goes. Wouldn't be surprised if 3 or 4 arms go in the draft but that still leaves us with a scary good staff next year. Frankly next year is going to be one of the most loaded teams we have had on offense and defense.

Not just quality starters but quality starters on a top ten team. I love the Beavs but "Top Ten" is world-class cherry picking (D-1 BB being the outlier). Not picking. Just looking at the tv screen. You have a short memory. Until we ran into ASU, nobody could hit our pitchers, and our pitching staff kept us in games when our bats were silent. They are all quite good. Too bad you can’t appreciate them.

Yeah, I get it, this isn't a year where we roll out a guy and count on 8 innings of 2 hit baseball.
These guys are competing, they're working to get better. What are we gonna do?
Sure, this is a flawed team. Good hitting, solid bullpen. Just keep battling.
So far, so good, mostly.
Or, the other option, complain about stuff you can't do anything about.

I actually do appreciate them...both pitchers and hitters - just not w Orange colored glasses. "Until we ran into...." is kind of a would / coulda / shoulda thing. The fact is that in the past 4 weeks, including the ASU series, the Beavers are averaging giving up 7.7 runs per game in PAC-12 games. Has there ever been a month like that in recent years?

MP whines enough man. It's been a fun and scrappy season. Just enjoy it.

Why are you allowed to look only at the last four weeks but I’m not allowed to look at the beginning of the year? Who is cherry-picking now?

Besides, the season is exhausting and we know nothing about the condition of our players except once in a great while.
