Western Carolina started to play Georgia on Tuesday. They got into the bottom of the first, but the game was called off due to lightning and rain. Because it did not get into the fifth, Georgia avoided the RPI hit.

I'm sure you've seen it Wilky, but Warren Nolan says only -3 "points" for a win vs WCU today...better than I thought...but UW is right on our heels and jumps us with a win in their game vs Cal

The Beavers would need to do at least one game better against Western Carolina to stay ahead of Washington in RPI. The Huskies may be angling for a Seattle Regional. 2-1 or 3-0 and a better RPI than Oregon State is a great recipe for that. Washington sweeping Oregon at PK and the loss to Portland may have really thrown a wrench in a Corvallis Regional's chances, if the Huskies stay hot.

Oregon State would be ineligible to play in a Seattle Regional. No more than one team per conference in each regional.

I think that will end up determining who hosts with both the Huskies playing hard right now.
Trouble is, Cal has been coming on strong and won't go down quietly, I think. I wouldn't be surprised if they steal one. Dare I say two?

Hopefully two. I want Oregon State to be the obvious second choice on the West Coast after Stanford (or first choice, in case Oregon State wins the Pac-12 Tournament). In 2018, Washington almost swept Stanford to put Oregon State's National Seed in peril. And then the Cardinal rebounded to beat the Huskies in the final game and avoid the sweep. And Oregon State rode that to a National Championship.

Wilky, I posted this in other one, but any thoughts on UW's pathetic schedule where they only scheduled 50 games and will only play 48? Seems like crap to me and should be an RPI hit for not even scheduling games at all....
