The Beavs also announced the addition of Bridger Holmes, a Feather River C.C. RHP via North Bend, OR. high school. He committed last October but it wasn't announced until his JuCo season was complete. We'll get some stuff posted on him.

As it turns out, his dad Garrett was an offensive lineman for oregon in the mid 80s. Stats look solid. |

Holmes is a big body - 6'5" and 215 with a good record at Feather River CC. Having said that, there are several stats that might be concerning.
In 68.3 innings pitched, he issued 42 walks and hit 20 batters. Along with allowing 35 hits, that puts his WHIP at a lofty 1.42. If you put runners on base at a rate of 12.8/ 9 IP, at the JC level, what does that look like at the D1 level where hitters are better and more disciplined?
His Two year K total of 162 in 129.6 IP is very good (11.2K/ 9). His ERA was 3.23 in 2022, and 2.63 in 2023. He held opponents to a .150 BA in 2023.
One of his coaches at Feather River was Marty Lees, a former OSU and WSU coach. He will pitch for the Springfield Drifters this summer.

No. 7 SANDIA 7, No. 2 LA CUEVA 0: Junior right-hander Zach Kmatz (11-2) was masterful in a complete-game six-hitter against La Cueva (23-5) as the Matadors (20-9) ousted their rivals from the playoffs for the second straight season.
“I’ve had a no-hitter, but that is definitely by far the best game I’ve thrown,” said Kmatz, who struck out seven and walked no one. “We talked about how if (I) mix in every pitch, they’re not gonna touch me. And I had my best stuff today.”
