In the Long Jump, Delaney Bahn took 6th and Anneke took 8th to score four more points! Delaney's 20-1.75 jump would have been a school record if not for Anneke's heptathlon 20-3.0 jump. It was a great day of T&F with more to come tomorrow!
The team stands at 5th place after the 2nd of 3 days of Pac-12 Championship competition. Hard to say what will happen tomorrow, but there should be more points coming.
Anxious to see how Kaylee does in the 1500m - she beat some great competition last week, but every week is different.
Adael Scatena performed admirably in the 400H prelims, so I hope to see that continue in the finals.
Might see a point or two in the High Jump.
Jade Whitfield has been phenomenal in the discus this year; sure like to see her get at least 3rd or better!
Unless Anneke beats her Triple Jump PR by a foot or more, it will be hard for her score.
Grace has a great chance of placing highly in the 5000m. So does Kaylee, but she might be worn out after 1500 prelims, 1500 finals, and the Steeplechase. God bless that young'un as she sacrificed for the team's benefit.
Go Beavs!

Adael Scatena placed 6th in the 400H for 3 more points! 55 total points for the team and an 8th place finish. A lot of high points the bards will be singing about for a while

Amazing year with consistent performances! <snip> This article from the Eugene Register-Guard puts into perspective Jade's amazing accomplishment to take 2nd place to Dutch athlete and two-time defending NCAA champion Jorinde Van Klinken:

Many would rather deal with heat than the often-crappy weather and allergy attacks that often happen when the NCAA meet is in Eugene. At least the West Regional is actually in the west. I think last year it was in Arkansas.
