2024 running back out of Texas just committed to Beavs. Makhi Frazier. 5'11" 215 bruiser with speed. Won commitment over several power 5 programs, including ole Miss, Missouri, Minnesota, Mich. State, Arkansas and others.

Rivals three-star. Was the back-up RB last year behind a kid heading to USC, and played more LB than RB. Most schools were recruiting him to play D.

How is this guy a a zero star recruit? it seems weird but we're still pretty early in the 2024 cycle. There's tons of great unrated players who haven't been to camps or haven't drawn the interest of major programs. If Bama offers a no star he will be rated within acouple days off film and offers. You will see star ratings jump all over the place this summer as guys go camping.

How is this guy a a zero star recruit? At this point I don't care much about star ratings if OSU is recruiting them other than how it may impact the interest of other recruits. If JS is going after them they are a 4 or 5 star recruit for this program. Regardless, Im sure if Oregon and USC were actively recruiting him he'd be a 4 star. Goes without saying, JS has built a program that is 100% about culture and family. It's awesome.

8 second 40 time? As in, you can drink a 40 in 8 seconds? An 8 seconds 40 yard dash should be doable at that age. .. although maybe not now at my age. Back in the 9th grade we did timed 50 yard dashes in PE one day. My buddy Tim and I ran neck to neck and it was right at 9-10 seconds (we were 2 of the slowest times that day)... two or three years later in PE, it was a timed 220 against 3 other friends, a couple which were athletic, I was 2nd at 23-24 seconds. Everyone was surprised, even me. Nowadays, about 47/48 years later, I'd consider it to be a triumph to run an 8-10 second 40.

Nowadays, about 47/48 years later, I'd consider it to be a triumph to run an 8-10 second 40. good stuff - I grew up in Roseburg and in the early 70's the school district had funding for a large elementary school athletic program. Anyway, I remember timing a 7.0 40 in the 4th grade. I think the average was around 6.5 to 6.8. About 5 and 6 years ago (about 54 years old), I was running a lot of miles and doing some track workouts. At the end of the workout I'd try one or two flying 100m's. Flying means starting 20 or so meters behind the starting line and starting the watch when you cross the line. Anyway, I would get into the low 15's. I thought I should do better and rationalized I'd be under 15 if I did it before a workout instead of after. Now? I'm not sure I could get under 20.
