Assuming this is not an indication of an injury, I am relieved. We really can’t afford to risk her being injured in the off-season, especially considering how thin we are in the front court.

I didn't want to be the first to say it, but if I were her advisor, I'd recommend she skip this prestigious invitation...
As mentioned in the post above, there is the risk of injury, but, in addition there is the issue of basketball fatigue and body fatigue. Playing the year round - which except for maybe 8 weeks - is what many college kids do nowadays and it's tough even on young bodies....
If Raegan is hoping for some kind of pro basketball in her future she's looking at another 5, 7 or maybe even 9 years of wear and tear on her basketball body. She carries a lot of upper body weight and no matter how you slice it, that takes a toll on ankles and knees....
As well, there is the issue of the Italy trip - - which may or may not carry a lot of significance for her.....
All things considered, she might prefer the Italy trip and, if I were her trainer (which obviously, I am NOT) that's what I'd suggest: Italy....
At any rate with a May heat wave settling in on PDX & Corvallis, that is how I see things right now.

I believe Beers may have reinjured her knee. I just saw a picture of the team and she appeared to be on crutches of some sort. Hopefully it’s nothing serious and she can recover quickly!

I don't know if she is on crutches or not, but from following on twitter she is already talking about being excited for next year, so I'm thinking this isn't a lingering injury. For those who want to find out if she is on crutches in early June, you can find her here:
