For as long as I can remember OSU teams have had "no hit" defensive stalwarts that played regularly. And most developed into decent guys at the plate that often provided key hits. I can remember wondering if Chris Kunda would ever hit above .200, but could the kid flash some leather! Tyler Smith....played over 200 games as a Beav. First two seasons: .247 amd .221 BA Jr/Sr (2012 / 2013): .343 and .320. Attained the Major Leagues in 2017.

Turley’s first stop after the season is driveline in Seattle. That’s the place where bazanna and Forrester rebuilt their swings last offseason. Scouts think Turley’s swing has too many moving parts. After the rebuild he will go get some live at bat’s somewhere

He seems to have learned to cut down a bit on his swing with strike two, but still clearly overswings too frequently. That early (non-league) home run success he had was probably not the best sequence for learning to control his swing when he faces better pitching. But he's young and will learn.
