This is one of the dangers of stacking too much talent and/or too big of a roster. I often say on here I how thing Rueck is smart to keep his roster small. 13+ players can be a very tricky balancing act and not just in terms of playing time.

hoopheretic: Personally, I think you have written some very solid and thoughtful posts the past several days.... Your assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of next year's roster on another thread was spot-on in my view. So, why not help us out with your last past?

So what is the balancing act? And what's tricky about it? Serious question. GO BEAVS!!

Completely agree with him. A healthy locker room is almost as important as your talent level. If you have players unhappy in the locker room,it can infect a team. Players sitting on the bench complaining they aren’t playing enough can destroy a team. Culture matters…

That doesn’t sound like something Sedona Prince embodies.

Good riddance when that one left.

Servanthood? I wonder who they are supposed to be serving?
And to be passionately thankful for the opportunity to serve that person.

Good riddance when that one left. Kennedy wanted to play the 4 and she got that chance. When Taylor Jones was hurt we needed her to play the 5. Kennedy had trouble with three point shot and she didn’t have much of a mid range jump shot so playing the 4 was troublesome. look at her statistics this year at Duke 24 minutes a game 46% fg 0.00% 3 pt 6.5 pts a game Good HS player but she has to work on her game. Not much improvement during her college career.

I think we had a couple years where there were players that didn't want to be there.

I think we had a couple years where there were players that didn't want to be there. That is so true, we had players( parents ) that had a different expectation about playing time and maybe how hard they had to work on fundamentals to earn that playing time. The player, who transferred to West Virginia didn’t last two years before her mother bad mouthed the coach and her daughter left the team.

I liked Savanah Samuel, at least as a person, sorry that, as it seems, her mother may be overbearing and torpedo her success? So, back to U of Zero and grave digger, still no incoming transfers. 3 incoming freshman, so...are they keeping it secret, hard to do with social media and players these days. This chart helps me, but it is not quite accurate, do they really have only 8 players including the freshman (when you subtract Paopao) wbbblog.com/oregon-womens-basketball-recruiting/

Endyia could still return, but that is probably doubtful. I'm sure they will add more. I saw one team, can't remember who it was, but they had 10 in the transfer portal, and didn't have any 'in' from the portal yet. Ouch!

It's going to be hard for Endyia to get out the door with Graves clutching onto her ankles. He's a big guy ya know.
