In a recent post I wondered about the one run losses in Berg's tenure and believed it to be a lot. Here's what I found;
Through last weekend the overall record is 62-57.
Non-conference, including tournament is 37-28.
Pac 12(9) is 25-29.
I thought Pac would be much worse but experienced a new colloquialism? called recency bias. In last year's march to the WCWS the team lost eight! one run games in the Pac. Six in a row to Washington and UCLA.
The research helped dispel my angst :-)
Berg tenure one run loss record against the conference;
Arizona 4-1 very surprised ASU 6-3 " UCLA 1-5 Not surprised Cal 4-3 Stan 5-3 Wash 2-9 These loses stuck in my mind 1-4 Utah 3-2

Just for clarity... "one run loss record" of say 4-1 vs Zona... does that mean "one run games" OSU is 4-1 vs Zona?

Haaa, I tried to fix that but it timed out on me. Meant to say win/ loss record in one run games.
