We'll see more about her game soon. Some size on the wing, but not a aggressive/quick PG or interior size help. After posting and looking at the returning rosters in the Pac12 OSU is going to have to add more or REALLY overachieve to break into the top 7. Lots of returning and incoming talent.

She can score in contact and rebounds well. I think maybe decent backup for the 4. Fills a need.

We're going to see... from the video she appears to be athletic/jumper, but not a post threat in the Pac12. She appears slight and at 6' she's not going to be highly effective in the paint unless she has some slash to her game. Again... depth, but not the true "needs" for this team.

I really like what I see from the videos. Very good first step, like Sasha GoForth. Loves to get to the hoop. Follows her shot. Solid mid-range & not afraid to shoot the 3. Likes to rebound, and best of all, runs the court very well. I like her size. I can see her playing 1-4, as she has good handles too.
Great JOB coaches.

I watched a little video of her yesterday when I noticed her and Raegan as friends on social media. I like her game. Great addition to the freshman class. IMHO, this makes the 2023 class much better. Needs some bigs in the 2024 class (depending on portal transfers).

Bummer for them, Minnesota was going the extra mile for her, wonder what Gopher WBB is thinking now:

Bummer for them, Minnesota was going the extra mile for her, wonder what Gopher WBB is thinking now: The price you pay for changing coaches. But Whalen was not getting it done. As we learned with Judy, great alums don't necessarily make great coaches.

DME Academy??
Does anyone have an understanding of DME Academy where Dominika is attending school? I went to their website but I was not able to learn much. I'm guessing it's some kind of sports academy with high school certification. Is that about right?
Next question: Does DME offer scholarships? Otherwise it looks like a pretty expensive operation for a family to send their kid from Europe....
At any rate, this is just a matter of curiosity for me....But if someone knows about DME, I'm interested in learning.... GO BEAVS!!

Ok, I was avoiding work today and you sent me down this rabbit hole. I imagine you wanted a distilled version of all the data, but I'll throw out a couple facts I learned and give links for whomever wants to learn a lot more. When I saw the name DME Academy in Florida I immediately thought of IMG Academy , also in FL. Two very different entities, both have girls BB programs. DME is a post-grad program, not a full HS experience like IMG. IMG is a juggernaut, they have hosted many HS , College tournaments I believe and they hosted the WNBA in 2020, the players lived there in isolation so they could have a season, but I digress So, IMG is $68k per year, vs $10k (for 7 months) at DME. The first link is the DME wiki page, biased, written by folks from DME, the second link is a very thorough article from a news source. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DME_Academywww.news-journalonline.com/story/business/2018/11/24/from-dusty-warehouse-to-sports-training-giant-look-at-dmes-4-year-rise/8293492007/Dominika has a bio page, cute but not real helpful, she does say she is a "team player" and infers she is a gym rat and grew an inch while there apparently to 6'1". dmeacademy.com/players/paurova-dominika/This DME page is all about promotion: mentioning that she is playing for the Czech senior team at age 18 dmeacademy.com/dme-athlete-represents-the-czech-republic/

and from "the Gopher hole", which makes Bernice's Place sound very classy in comparison: "Dominika Paurova made the Honorable Mention Awards list for the All World Cup U19 2021. (See link.) That was a strong honor among top talent. For comparison, up one level in the honors was Lauren Betts, the #1 overall 2022 prospect in America per ESPN HoopGurlz, and Diamond Johnson, the #6 overall 2020 prospect. At the #1 spot was Caitlin Clarke. Paurova is listed as a F/C. The link they refer to is below, and the next link is her page: www.eurobasket.com/World-Cup-U19/basketball_2021.aspx?women=1basketball.usbasket.com/player/Dominika-Paurova/592579?Women=1You can all blame 411500 for all this, he started it ....last fun fact, one of the owner-brothers of DME Academy , Dan, was an assistant for both the Portland Trailblazers and Los Angeles Lakers in the mid-2000s.

greybeav - - thanks for your research on DME, and for your general summaries and overviews....This is very helpful information to me..Thanks... The "Athletics-Industrial-Complex" in the USA is getting more complicated by the year!! It's hard to keep up....
You invest a lot of time and effort in this board, greybeav, and I appreciate the information, the videos, and the numerous links you bring to our collective attention....
I'm sure I'm not the only one on this board who has learned a good deal more about Dominika and DME as a result of your tracking down this info....Thanks again... GO BEAVS!!
