Again, I'm not holding it against him. I just wonder how much he cares about OSU as a destination. If he put up old sailor Benny, I'd be fine. That one has historical significance as it was used for half a century, and while Angry Benny was the logo from 1999-2013 which coincided with the rebirth of our football program, I never really carried any affection for it. The new logo doesn't hold much significance for me either, but I think it's an improvement over Angry Benny, and it is the current logo.
If he ends up not coming here because he saw one middle aged dude dismayed he didn't use our current logo, you all have the right to stone me. I've never seen him play, I have no idea if he's going to be an impact player at the college level. He may be the nicest kid ever and delivers treats to the elderly at the senior center on the weekends. I have no idea. I'm not trying to condemn the kid. I just said that I don't get why they use the old logo in photo edits, and it makes me wonder how much they really know about the school recruiting them.
In the meantime, by all means everyone keep freaking out everytime an announcer calls us Oregon instead of Oregon State or mispronounces it Orygun, or spells it Anderson instead of Andersen. My dismay at an outdated logo is clearly the irrational response here.

or maybe a soft g....I don't really know. i pronounce it Orygun. I think most others do too. It's the reason for the tshirts and bumper stickers that you used to around. Out of staters, mainly folks from the east pronounce it Or-a-gone.

Looks like he wasn't interested in being a Beav, regardless of the logo
