What a great win tonight! The Beavs absolutely look like they’re ready for a sweep! Maybe I shouldn’t say it, but I’m going to. Okay, I’m pissed off. I was so embarrassed by some of the Beaver fans behavior near me tonight. I sit above the first base dugout. I’ve been silent until now, but tonight was too much. I’ve listened to some fans spewing nasty sh** at the players for every team for a while now and I’ve had enough. The spewing of FU at the players was over the top. I saw someone on the opposing team recording them on their cell phone and where or if it ends up somewhere, will not be a good look for the Beavers. Direct your ire at the umpires or coaches but leave the kids/players alone. We all want to beat the opposing team handily, but these kids, no matter what school they go to are bustin’ their butts to play ball. Calling them “losers” makes you a loser in my opinion and is the lowest of the low. In the end they are just kids playing ball. I came really close to calling out the offenders tonight but I was really at a loss for words. Any suggestions from you good folks here would be much appreciated, or should I just sit on my hands and let them make fools of themselves. Been a season ticket holder since pre-Jacoby, and I’m hoping for a better Beaver experience.

If that is ineffective, take your own videos and post them on YouTube. That’ll get folks attention. It’s a public space and people shouldn’t expect anonymity.

If OSU wants to project that image, then they need to be aware of what's going on and handle it properly and efficiently. They also need to make fans aware of the expectations.
Otherwise, you have thousands of fans watching a game and at any given game a handful could be the troublemakers that you are describing. It will happen. Not everybody sees shame in mocking the players. Daaaaryl...Daaaaryl....Daaaaryl

The integration of appropriate alcohol service at Goss has been an epic fail if compared to anyone else who is licensed by the OLCC, except the University of Oregon facilities. From the beginning something was not quite right. Who adds alcohol service for a 3500 person mostly male fan base and does not add a single urinal? Mistake number two was expanding the alcohol consumption area to the entire facility when they did not even have control of the service and consumption area in Banners. While Dwight is great at what he does, throwing a few alcohol monitors at an area as big a Goss with all the challenges involved (length of event, minors mixed with adults, high intensity attitudes, beer with an alcohol content much higher than traditional domestics, and the challenge of the person serving the alcohol not having any chance to observe signs of visible intoxication by the purchaser) does not pass the straight face test. By maximizing revenue while expending as little money as possible the quality of the experience has been compromised for many.

We already have the reputation. I played golf last fall with a guy who’s son played for WSU. He told me that he had been to all of the PAC 12 stadiums and the Beavers fans were without a doubt the worst towards the visiting team.

You can visit Goss or Reser many times and have very different experiences, depending partly on where you sit. Same is true, I'm sure, for other Pac 12 schools.

Hard to get heckled by the 50-75 people in the stands at USC or Utah or WSU.
