Maybe a certain poster needs to take off his orange colored glasses and occasionally be critical of a basketball program that has some major deficiencies. Did you ever mention Nick Krass once here? Everything except NK. Next time, read the subject of the thread and try to stay on topic. |

I think most would agree that Zach developed into a pretty solid piece for the Beavers whether they specifically came on here to say it or not. But let’s not make it out like he became a star or anything. But he was a nice piece of the puzzle for sure. When they signed Krass or maybe prior to season I believe I posted on here that hopefully he could have a career trajectory like Zach. And they did have somewhat similar stats in their freshmen years I think. Not the ratings are the be all and end all, but Zach was rated higher coming out of HS. Don’t think Nick was rated. I wish nothing but the best for the kid, but can’t say I’m broken up about him leaving. By the way, saw this today. The Twitter post lists some good basketball schools for their level of competition. If NK is looking to play college basketball and get a good education he has some pretty good choices in that list. If he wants to be close to home, then Southern Miss seems like a good choice. |

Actually the key phrase is “has heard from.” I don’t know, but wouldn’t surprise me at all if he has heard from all those schools. At that level of school, they often lose a fair amount in portal. The good players on those teams of transfer up (Illinois signed a kid from Southern Illinois this off season). And the players that aren’t seeing time look to portal. Krass didn’t do anything stellar this year, but also didn’t embarrass himself against P6 competition. That’s why he’s got more interest now compared to coming out of high school too. Now whether an offer materializes from all or any of these schools is another story. But the schools listed are the type that I thought he’d likely end. up. |

Good for him. Not sure how much the team is losing from last year, but they finished 1st during regular season in Sun Belt and went to NIT.
