I saw some positive things with NK. He can shoot the 3. It's too bad he won't be around to prove it in Corvallis over the next 3 years. Yes, he struggled with the transition from HS to Pac12 MBB, but most expected that. I think the Zach comparison is a good one. Did any of the Zach bashers come to forum and confess they were wrong about him? Of course they didn't, they don't have any integrity and their ego won't let them admit they were wrong. You know who you are. Actually unless you went back to read old posts from several years back, you don't know those posters. Let alone their integrity and ego. You weren't on this board at that time.... remember?! So, you went back to just read ZR posts over several years? To prove... what? You, who didn't post, was right? They were wrong? Lol Your constant blathering, wanna be posts are all about trying to be right. Integrity and ego? Check yourself dude. Read your posts. This is a sports message board, it's all about opinions. Nick Krass was recommended to Tinkle by a former Pac-12 coach, who saw him play in some all-star games down in Mississippi, and thought, with his shooting, he might be a good fit for OSU. I can't remember for sure which coach it was, but may have been Mike Montgomery.

I thought Krass — as well as Donovan Grant — might have been a Reveno recruit that he became familiar with when he coached at Georgia Tech.

Nick Krass was recommended to Tinkle by a former Pac-12 coach, who saw him play in some all-star games down in Mississippi, and thought, with his shooting, he might be a good fit for OSU. I can't remember for sure which coach it was, but may have been Mike Montgomery. Bottom line NK took what appeared to be his best D1 offer. Kudos to him. And, WT needed to fill a roster spot and took a shot. When you're not a great program nor a great recruiter (kinda hand in hand) you take what you can get. Exactly why KC was added late... room, need, take a flyer and see what happens. |

I think Krass would have panned out as a pretty solid 6th or 7th man for us over time. There's absolutely nothing wrong with keeping a kid like that, at which point it's up to the kid and how much PT he wants. He's probably got a better shot at starting within a season or two at a bunch of the schools apparently looking at him.

I really don’t want to get in between your and rgeorge’s constant bickering, but it should probably be pointed out that in this thread at least he hasn’t bashed Krass or Ibekwe. All he has said is that we took a flyer on both of them — which is exactly what we did. According to the usual recruiting sources, both players were lightly recruited at the D1 level at best. That’s what I’d call a flyer. I don’t really think anyone has bashed Krass in the thread, but a poster or two have actually been more critical of Krass than rgeorge. OK, now back to your regularly scheduled posting. |

Kicking the OSU MBB team is easy. Takes zero courage to do it. The funny thing is, you take a thread like NK transferring, or any MBB thread, and it always turns into a "Why I hate WT thread". It brings out the true passion in the haters.
