Won 5 in a row....all Non conf...series sweep against San Diego st, a single against Loyola, and Fullerton. 4-6-1 away from home. #69 rpi #228 NC SOS, with a couple head scratcher losses which probly explains there rpi. They have won all their conf series....Furd, wazzu, Utah, and Cal....conf record of 9-3.....obviously, the Furd series win is the highlight.
I don't know about their lineup, or their pitching.....but looking at the above, we should be able to take em at home, if we play to our potential.....maybe someone will weigh in on their the particulars of their players.

Their fans were total jerks the last two times they were here, bragging about all their NCs, none of which have come in this century and most of which came before they were even born.

Pac-12 stats:
Runs 5 Triples 2 (behind Arizona) Home Runs 9 (third fewest ahead of only Wazzu and Utah) Strikeouts 11 (the fewest) Stolen Bases 1 OBP 5 Slugging% 5 Sacrifice bunts 2 (behind Utah) GO/FO 2 (behind Utah, not a good hitting stat)
Fewest Hits 1 (Oregon State #2) Unearned Runs 2 (fewest, tied with Washington, only behind Oregon State) Fewest Walks 2 (behind UCLA) K/9 8 ERA 1 (Oregon State #2)
Fielding% 2 (Oregon State #1) Double Plays 1
USC does not strike out a lot but hits it on the ground a lot. Not a lot of power, but speed to make up for it. The Trojans like to sacrifice. A lot of station-to-station, when they are not hitting triples.
Pitching is a strength. Few walks and fewer hits. But not a lot of strikeouts. That implies that the Trojans either has not been playing great teams or have just been plain lucky.
Second in fielding behind Oregon State and first in double plays. This team looks a lot like some Oregon State teams in the past.

This team looks a lot like some Oregon State teams in the past.Austin Overn, who has been hitting leadoff; Carson Wells, the cleanup hitter; and Johnny Olmstead, who has been hitting fifth, appear to be the three speedsters. Connor Aoki is the starting catcher. He has put up great numbers on both sides of the plate. The rotation recently has been Tyler Stromsborg, Caden Aoki (Connor's little brother), and Eric Hammond. There is a huge drop-off between the first two pitchers and Hammond. Jaden Agassi (Andre and Steffi Graf's son) and Blake Sodersten have both worked their way out of the starting rotation but seem to each be better suited for the bullpen. Agassi was supposed to be the best pitcher in USC's rotation, but that has just not been the case this year.

Hopefully we keep the momentum going from last couple games......should be a lil more swagger in the lineup right now.

What do we know about USC ? They are front running self absorbed insufferable blowholes who took a money grab over the wellbeing of their student athletes. Oh, you meant what do we know about the baseball team. Sorry

'Looks as if their conference schedule was front loaded with (mostly) conference lightweights and backloaded with tougher competition. A Beat sweep here this weekend is, IMO, not absolutely out of the question.

I feel like our pitching is making opposing lineups look a bit feeble.

I feel like our pitching is making opposing lineups look a bit feeble. 3.14 ERA, second-lowest in the country behind top five Wake Forest. 3.14 ERA is Oregon State's lowest team ERA since 2019.
