Man, if we start getting hot, this team is tough to beat.

Just remember folks this is a bad team (yet 8-4) in a very very bad conference. 15 runs unexpected, but the Zags have been bad, putrid away from home. And, perfect example of bad Pac12 staff #s (Oregon) vs bad WCC staff #s. I think I saw almost 1/2 the Zags staff with ERA above 8, staff at almost 7.
This game helps IF the confidence/bats stay improved. It hurts the RPI.

Strikeout, one away
If Dorman can ever get some semblance of control with Boisvert, dude would be electric.

Say what you will, this is a nice win against a pretty decent team.

Loved that game, what a relief after the dead bats. Mcdowell, Guerra and Dernedde all have 3 hits. If you had told me at the end of last season there was a game where those 3 all get 3 hits I would have sold you some goose greese at a premium.

Gonzaga has played a very difficult schedule, playing four games against Texas Tech in Lubbock and three games against Tennessee in Knoxville. And despite that, Oregon State is only the third team to hold Gonzaga to fewer than two runs and this is the first time that any team has done so without throwing their Friday starter. Only three other teams have scored more than 13 runs against Gonzaga and one of those was Tennessee. It helps RPI but not much. It should help in the long run, as well, unless all of those Western Carolina games rain out.

RPI 157, SOS is 100 (not a strong schedule), 2nd/8-4 in a league with 15th RPI in the country, (3) teams with winning records, (3) teams below 100, (3) teams over 200. And, where in my post was there mention of "feeling bad"? Another dumb arse post that just makes crap up.

We get it. It's a low RPI team. We won, we pitched well, we hit the ball well. You win the game in front of you. That's it. Nobody cares about their RPI.

If you'd like #s that are judged more useful by many, look at College Baseball ISR. They are more kind to OSU than RPI. And, if you're a Warren Nolan fan you can start cheering. They have predicted results of OSU finishing 19-5/10-5... 40-16/17-13. Starting with a sweep of SC this weekend.

Fine. I'd say it was a good win, because it was the game we had scheduled. We beat their ass. It doesn't hurt to beat a team 15 to 1.
