BOOM! Local kid from Keizer, OR who played at Southern Idaho last year. He's 6 foot 5 and averaged 16 ppg while shooting 37% from the 3pt line. Great addition to the Beavs. Build the Dam!

See ya Glenn….your replacement has arrived. Meithof can stroke it from 3….that’s an improvement.

Nate's coach at McNary was former Crescent Valley star Ryan Kirch. Ryan's dad Tom was the director of the Dixon Rec Center for many years before retiring. Great family.
Repeated from the other thread, he has a lot of local ties.

I have to admit I’m not a big fan of JC recruits, though certainly there are good players in those ranks. But I like that he’s an Oregon and he’s worked his way up to get this scholarship. Plus he certainly fits a need. Looking forward to him having a good career at Oregon State. Welcome Nate.

He also is rated 35 or below on juco lists for sophs. Almost zero other significant offers and really none as MVC POY at 25/9. However, it's the level of recruit WT is able to land. And his stats are far better than almost every other juco WT has landed. He'll play, as he has to! Hopefully he can defend some and cut down his TOs and improve on assist #s.

I watched the video someone posted in a thread on main bball forum. He showed some mid-range and at the basket game, but opponents’ D looked pretty bad so hard to say whether any of that will translate to Pac 12. Certainly didn’t look overly athletic, which is worrisome. Looks like his outside shot will be helpful to Beavs. I think he’ll be a decent piece to the puzzle, but not sure about starter minutes. Hopefully my very quick take based on some highlights and his lack of exposure is off and he surprises me. I’ll be rooting for him.

Just like the big from WA... not a difference maker next year. GT Jr is far quicker, better slashing game and strength. But, no matter the opinion one has on GT these are the kids he can land.

Portland, Utah Valley, and LIU-Brooklyn were among the schools pushing for Meithof's services

I think I was more excited to get CSI’s leading scorer than actually looking at what he can do. He could produce as well as Glen. But even that only keeps us at the same level. Hopefully there’s more to come

Just like the big from WA... not a difference maker next year. GT Jr is far quicker, better slashing game and strength. But, no matter the opinion one has on GT these are the kids he can land. unfortunately, I’ve pretty much resigned myself to the fact that the majority of WT’s recruits will not be big difference makers in year 1. Obviously Pope this year was a big exception. Yet even before we saw him officially break out, I think anyone who saw him play in the GEICO tournament at end of senior year could see we were getting a good one. Just didn’t see that kind of freshman year from him. Overall I was OK with the class WT brought in last year within the context of it being an Oregon St class. Unfortunately, Wright and Rochelin did not meet expectations. Hopefully that had more to do with injuries and lost time, and they can overcome that. Bilodeau and Rataj are solid players. I though Stevens looked better that I thought he would. Ibekwe looks to have some potential. Not impressed with Krass thus far, but didn’t have any real expectations for him this year. The big issue I have with this signing is as of right now it fills out the roster. I’m prepared for a slow build, and Mars and Ndong seem like they could be nice pieces in that down the line. But with such a slow build, you can’t lose arguably your second best player and have a player like Meithof be the replacement. Sure he could surprise and I’m rooting for him to do so, but just not a recipe for success. Maybe WT knows that he has other transfers out coming, and they’ll be able to bring in more players who can add to the build. All that said, I hope the kid comes out balling and makes us forget Taylor. From the little I’ve read about him, he seems like a good kid who will represent the school well.
