Off to an amazing start. 13 innings, 3 hits, no runs and 13 strikeouts so far Also amazing: 0 walks. A WHIP of 0.23. And that WHIP leads the Majors. Tied with teammate Jeffrey Springs for fewest hits allowed per nine innings in the Majors. One of six pitchers who has not allowed a run, one of six pitchers that has not issued a walk, and the only pitcher in the Majors to be at the top on both lists. In a four-way tie for most innings pitched behind Sandy Alcantara. And the Rays started him off as their fourth starter?

He wasn't as good as the others coming into the season. And keeping him as their #4 gives them a definite advantage in the fourth game of any series.
He's only had two starts. Not enough of a sample size to mess with what is working.

Not enough of a sample size to mess with what is working. I will just throw this out there: Rasmussen threw eight perfect innings on V-J Day last year, the best singular eight inning pitching performance of the 2022 season by any pitcher. Otherwise, I tend to agree.

Just really happy for Drew! Listened to the Tampa game on the way to PK yesterday and we go 7 and 2/3 of no hit ball. I thought we were going to get another one. Still to this day, Drew's perfect game at Goss and then staying in the ball park until everyone had left, signing every autograph along the way was pretty special stuff.
