The zags are RPI #157, probably not a bad thing to be rained out.....RPI-wise anyway.

Pick from one of 6 pools, allowed to bring (1) drink (any size) and water in... really can't beat it unless you're live at your fav team.

I don't remember the gray and glom and rain lasting all the way through April before I dunno April in Western OR is usually pretty wet. There's been a few years where it seems to be s%#t all the way thru the season, but last season was bad. This season has been wet, but hopefully we're hitting tail end??

I work in Ag, and the long range forecasting for this season (NOAA's CPC, and the state of Oregon), is wetter and colder than normal for April, but warmer and drier than normal for May/ June. We shall see. Maybe it will be like a light switch going from cold and wet to warm and dry - the reverse of that sure did happen this past fall - hot, dry and smoky to wet.

If it turns quickly to warm we will be wading to work.

I don't remember the gray and glom and rain lasting all the way through April before I don't think that the gray and the wet is so unusual for spring in Oregon, but I'm surprised by the temperatures. Can we please get a couple of 60 degree days?

Spring of 2017 was miserable like this. We had an intern from Minnesota in our office that year who asked me, long about late April, if the sun ever came out.
Three La Ninas in a row is two too many. These last two springs have been miserable, it's not just your imagination.

Someone with a better memory correct me... But have last two "springs" been the worst ever? I don't remember the gray and glom and rain lasting all the way through April before Data lags. But March was the coldest March in Oregon since 1917 and the 25th wettest in the past 128 years (since official records began in the continental United States). My deep dive precipitation website is down. Otherwise, I could get you better numbers on that, as well. I looked back to last year, and nothing really stood out in February or March. But April 2022 was the 10th-coldest (coldest since 2011) and the seventh-wettest. It is about three degrees warmer this year so far than last year, but it has rained more to this point. April 2011 was colder than 2022 and 2023 but no recorded precipitation the entire month. 2011 and 2022 have been the coldest Aprils since 1975 and good data that old is difficult to come by. For perspective purposes, though, 2021 appears to have been colder so far in April than 2023. But, again, less precipitation. Very wet this April. 2022 was the seventh-wettest and 2023 is tracking ahead of 2022.
