Mostly underclassmen competed on Friday - great to see them push through the elements and have some winning performances. Definitely the team is building little by little.
Hard to say who would win "the performance of the day", but here are a few that stand out to me:
400 meters
- Ava Gross, 1st, 58.61s (PB)
100 meters
- Jada Hurley, 1st, 12.35s
- haven't seen Lizzie Hatton this outdoor season yet; could be redshirting (?)
800 meters
- Jillian Brown, 1st, 2:14.81 (PB)
- Coach Q had some great things to say about Jillian's performance
400 Hurdles
- Kylee Nelson, 1st, 1:04.37 (PB)
200 meters
- Ava Gross, 2nd, 25.98 (PB)
Hammer, Shot, and Discus had some good performances from Seniors
- Katie Gelston (freshman) won the Javelin and Discus with some nice distances
-- Javelin, 1st, 143-3 (43.37m)
-- Discus, 1st, 148-10 (45.38m)

- Chelsea Howard, 1st, 18-08.50 (PB)
- Coach Q impressed with her performance
