4-4 with 4 RBI and an HR on opening day. Not too shabby.

Thrown out twice at second on scoring plays. Got no problem with a guy drawing the throw from the OF and trading an out for a run on the play.

Boyd and Rasmussen are the fourth starters for the Tigers and Rays, respectively, and are not slated to pitch until Monday. Weird stat of the day: Pac-12 players on opening day rosters by university: 1. The Ducks have eight players on Opening Day rosters? And seven of them are pitchers? Bizarre!

CJ Cron never played in the Pac-12, so he can't be a Pac-12 player. His last season at Utah was 2011; Utah's first baseball season in the Pac-12 was 2012.
It always bugs me when Pac-12 Network has shows on guys like Alex Smith and Rashan Salaam and calls them "Pac-12 profiles." They were not Pac-12 players.
