link to CBS Sports articleInteresting article. Reminds me of the time before the 85 schollie limit when schools would stockpile player and have over 100 scholarship. Saban is doing something similar here, but with coaches. I wonder if the NCAA will eventually catch on to this as an un-competitive advantage and do something.

If so, you can probably say goodbye to a few of our coaches too. Our special teams is being run by a guy who isn't even technically listed as a coach. I guess it's unfair that they have enough money and prestige to attract better non-coach coaches than we can, but are we going to limit stadium size next because bigger stadiums present bigger home field advantages? Will all revenue made nationwide on college football eventually be put into one giant pool and distributed evenly between the 120 some-odd FBS schools? Regardless of what the NFL says, people don't want parity. Nobody wants three 8-4 teams vying for a division title. They want two 13-0 schools smashing everyone in their wake on the way to an epic national championship.

Bama's strength and conditioning coach is now making $525K. This would put him ahead of 20 D1 head coaches and 900 D1 assistant coaches. Just on a whole different level over there. Crazy.
