Lattery to start which is a good choice imo. Hunter is likely injured for a bit after his last outing ended with trainers.
Big shake ups. Weber catching, Outfield is all frosh Talt, Turley, Macias.
Forrester to lead off and Talt looks like a bunter to advance him. Interesting small ball shift there.

I guess in context the hitting can get worse. It's still very early, but sitting here with OSU facing a guy with no appearances this season and 4.0 IP , faced 19 hitters in his Cal career/'22... well???
Maybe he runs out of gas early, or gets nervous situationally?? But, now OSU is the team starting (3) guys under the Mendoza line!!

0 - 0 through 2 innings. Cal's had 2 baserunners. Cal's starter out with 2 out in the 2nd. Gave up one walk with 2 wild pitches.
